Analysis: In getting Rabach, the Ravens delved into their past to shore up their thin offensive line. The 6-foot-4, 288-pounder spent four seasons with Baltimore after being drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2001 NFL draft. Rabach played the last six seasons with the Washington Redskins before being released last week. Rabach is expected to serve as the backup to 35-year-old Matt Birk, who has bad knees.

Analysis: Rabach said in a text message Thursday that the Redskins told him they were "going younger and had enough depth" at offensive line. The 33-year-old Rabach has been reliable for the Redskins, missing only one game in six seasons. But he also had surgery on his right shoulder during the offseason.
