Analysis: Williams was released by the Seattle Seahawks last month is expected to be available for Washington's wild-card game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Harold Lewis confirmed an ESPN report in an email to The Associated Press that his client will sign with the Redskins. Williams, 31, had 46 tackles in 10 games with Seattle this season. Washington is coping with injuries in its secondary, including two in the regular-season finale Sunday in Dallas.

So there was some relief for Schneider when the Seahawks finalized a three-year contract with Williams on Tuesday.
Analysis: Williams started every game the past four seasons, two of those with Philadelphia and two with Baltimore, where he won a Super Bowl. Last season he had 59 tackles, nine passes defensed and two interceptions for the Eagles.
