Analysis: The outing continued a recent trend of following an awful start with a terrific one. He was tagged for six runs in five innings of a loss to St. Louis five days earlier. The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner allowed seven runs in five innings to lose at Detroit to close July, then threw a three-hit shutout against Texas to begin August. Keuchel is next scheduled to pitch Saturday against Tampa Bay. He's 0-4 with a 5.11 ERA in six starts against the Rays.

Analysis: Keuchel has allowed 13 runs over 10 innings in two starts sandwiched around his masterpiece against the Rangers. After winning 20 games last season, he's 7-12 with a 4.76 ERA in 2016.

Analysis: Keuchel allowed a career low in hits while throwing his fourth major league shutout. He struck out seven and walked two. Keuchel was coming off one of his worst starts of the season in which he was tagged for seven runs in five innings Sunday at Detroit. He was also sloppy in his only start of the season against the Twins, who he'll face on Wednesday. On May 2, Keuchel permitted five runs, seven hits and five walks in 4 1/3 innings of a 6-2 loss to Minnesota.
