(AP) -- With one of the worst lineups in the major leagues, the Miami Marlins have had to lean heavily on their pitching this season.

Miami ranks last in baseball with a .222 batting average, 122 runs and a .283 on-base percentage, among others categories, and entered Monday's series opener having scored more than three runs once in 12 games.
